What makes the wine from Ningxia unique

The geographic location – the Eastern Foothills of Helan Mountain on 38 degrees northern latitude.

Favourable natural environment - continental semi-arid climate, dry, sufficient sunlight with yearly 3000h, low precipitation with annual rainfall 150-240mm, large temperature difference between day and night.

Terroir- the average altitude is above 1000m, and the soil is formed between the alluvial plain of the Yellow River and the alluvial fan of Helan Mountain, containing gravel and sand, with good air permeability.

The organic production – very limited or no pesticide in the vineyards. There are no threats of pests and disease thanks to the perfect climate conditions and terroir. Wineries have attached great importance to sustainability and the value has been implemented in wine making.

The professional winemakers – smaller, quality-driven producers are the leading producers, especially the boutique ones. A number of winemakers have studied abroad and they have rich experience in wine making.

Advanced technologies - a large number of wineries possess modern wine making facilities introduced from France, Germany, Italy, New Zealand etc.

All these aspects have contributed to the premium quality of the wine from Ningxia.
